my job is a dead end ! I have a mortgage to pay for,how do I start a new carrer at this point?

I feel as if I am not going to make it much further in my present job.I am intrested in a new carrer but the time i have is not enough to train or go to school, what can I do?

Find something you can do…or go into business for yourself or sell your house and rent somewhere else…

Figure out your options..and go from there…

  1. Sell the house and use any profit to finance training, or go into business for yourself.

You can probably switch jobs seamlessly!

If you need education to further your training, you could always try an online course or nightschool!

  5. you probally should speak with your manager first
then if he tells you that it would be okay
    then you could then leave
because you dont want anybody to say that you quit the job
that would look bad for the new carrer you are tryin to get into

  7. The trucking buisness is the only way of making money quick, lots of it and with no money. You make appx. 3,000-4,000 a week in this buisness. I am only 21, and I’m in the biz. Try it you’ll see or you can become a dispatcherthey make good money…and you dont have to go to school.

  8. If you have no time to go to school and you can’t sell your house and rent a cheaper place, then you are stuck. Most people just say they can’t do these things because they would be very hard, or they have set artificial "standard of living" minimums for their family.

In reality, that the difficulties caused by going to school or downgarding your standard of living temporarily is the price you will have to pay to make youself successful. Good luck.

If you are good at math and physically fit, you should consider doing electrical work (like climbing poles, etc…) They need people badly, and pay extremely well. I heard like 80% of all electrical workers will retire in the next 8 years, so you could make LOTS of money off this shortage. Training is required and yoiu have to be good at math and have a high-school diploma. Good luck.

  9. If you are serious about the change in your life, then you will have to MAKE the time to go to night school. It is hard to believe that your work schedule is such that you don’t have a few free hours during the day or night to go to school. If you want it bad enough, you will find the time and travel the hard path to your new career. No one will tell you it will be easy – it won’t.
Beyond that, you will have to work your way up from a ground level position in a new field and take the salary cut that will come with it.

  10. Is it possible to go to night school? Check into places like Heald college or one of those other legit one to two year training for jobs.

Many of those places have night or after work classes. If you do switch jobs, make sure you have enough to pay at least two months mortgage so you do not get behind on your house payments and other bills.
